The main weapon that Link uses to defeat Ganon or Ganondorf is known as the Master Sword, which seals off Ganon's soul. Though throughout many of his adventures, he has many different weapons used to defeat the forces of evil. He gains his strength from the Triforce, the ultimate ruler and power of Hylia.

I suggest you look into the series for yourself, it is a great game series!!
